Search & Recovery Diver

Retrieve lost items that have fallen overboard or over a dock. Learn effective swimming patterns and using a lift bag for heavy objects.

What do I need to start?

  • Minimum 12 year old
  • Minimum Advanced Water Diver Certification or Open Water Diver with a PADI Underwater Navigator certification.

What will I do?

During this course you will learn advanced search techniques, planning, rigging and lifting of small to medium sized objects. Over 4 dives you will practice locating and recovering different objects from varying depths and terrains.

How long will it take?

Generally the course is run over 2 day, with 2 shore and 2 boat dives.

What will I need?

  • PADI Search & Recovery Manual (supplied by us)
  • Dive medical questionnaire
  • Towel, sunscreen and swimmers

What will it cost?

Total price for the course is $350 with two shore and two boat dives. Includes all tuition, gear hire, PADI Search & Recovery Manual, 4 dives, all practical training and PADI Search & Recovery Certification card.
