Ocean temperature and surface currents for South Eastern Australian Coastal Waters
This page provides a highly accurate ocean surface temperature map with surface currents as well. CSIRO Marine Remote Sensing division uses data from two satellites and floating sensors to compile these maps.

NSW Ocean surface temperature map with average wave height and maximum wave height as read by 6 wave rider buoys along the NSW coast.
The wave height data is collected by wave rider buoys at Eden, Bateman's Bay, Port Kembla, Sydney, Crowdy Head, Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay.

Once at this page the map at the lower part of the page shows the difference in tide times between different locations. The location South West Rocks requires that 1 hour 2 minutes be added to the tide times given for Yamba. Please note the times given are in Eastern Standard Time; so when Eastern Summer Time (Daylight Saving Time) is in use an extra 1 hour must be added to all times.
