This Painted Cray has remarkable colour and pattern.

  • Inhabit the continental shelf along the east coast of Australia
  • They hide in holes and crevice around rocky areas and reefs, preferring vegetative cover such as weed/kelp
  • Maximum weight of 8 kg and carapace length of 26cm long, 1 metre including antennaes.
