A dolphin rides the bow wave of the dive boat.

A bottle-nosed dolphin rolls on its side to eye the photographer. It is not uncommon for this species to ride the bow wave of boats for what seems to be the purpose (not porpoise) of fun or recreation. They also commonly ride the waves at local beaches often with more than one dolphin leaping from the back of the wave in synchronization with each other. Whether they are performing or not, I am always pleased to see them.
